Friends of Maclay Gardens is a volunteer-led nonprofit citizen support organization dedicated to supporting and enhancing Alfred B. Maclay Gardens State Park. Volunteers help bring our mission to life by supporting events, welcoming visitors, assisting with projects, and helping preserve the Maclay legacy for future generations.

Ways to Help
Volunteer opportunities may include:

• Help with Tour of Gardens, Moon Over Maclay, Ride with Friends, Camellia Christmas, and other special events
• Visitor Welcome
• Greet guests, check in participants, answer basic questions, and share information about Friends
  Park Support
• Assist with beautification projects, garden-related activities, trail support, and cleanup days
• Help with membership outreach, sponsorships, donor appreciation, and community engagement
• Take photos, write short event recaps, help with social media, or support newsletters
• Assist with planning, organizing supplies, setting up tables, preparing materials, or making follow-up calls

No Experience Needed
Whether you have a few hours a year or want to be more involved, there is a place for you. Some volunteer roles are outdoors, while others can be done behind the scenes. We welcome individuals, families, students, retirees, and community groups.
